Lalu Lintas di Fly Over Kampung Melayu Ditutup

Kampung Melayu Flyover Is Closed

Jakarta Transportation Dept. has closed Kampung Melayu Flyover today, Thursday (5/25).

The National Police's Forensic Laboratory Center (Puslabfor) wants to do identification

According to Andri Yansyah, Head of Jakarta Transportation Dept., traffic closure aims to anticipate traffic jam and sterilization around Kampung Melayu Terminal, when police conduct on-site research.

"The National Police's Forensic Laboratory Center (Puslabfor) wants to do identification. Which is why we close until it's done," he disclosed.

Further, his dept. applies traffic engineering by directing vehicles from Jl. Abdullah Syafei towards Jl. Basuki Rahmat through under flyover to spin to Jl. Jatinegara Barat - Jl. Jatinegara Timur to return to Jl. Basuki Rahmat.

Otherwise, traffic from Jl. Basuki Rahmat towards Jl. Abdullah Syafei, will be rerouted to Jl. Otista and then go to Jl. Abdullah Syafei, precisely in front of Kampung Melayu Terminal.

To optimize it, 30 personnel of Jakarta Transportation Dept. have been deployed to the field. Then other personnel are also spread to some locations prone to traffic jam on the impact of such road closure.

"We don't know yet when it will run normally, as we're still awaiting the police to complete investigation process," he finished.
