For the sake of security and comfort, Acting Jakarta Governor, Djarot Saiful Hidayat said, all bus passengers who enter into Transjakarta bus stop will be checked using a metal detector.

"Anyone who enters the Transjakarta bus stop should be checked with a metal detector. Perhaps the first one is uncomfortable but will be comfortable slowly," he said, when he reviewed Kampung Melayu Terminal Transjakarta Terminal, Sunday (5/28).

It will be done also in crowded places, such as malls, supermarkets and so forth. The policy does not mean to complicate the bus passengers, but it aims to protect them.

"Please the customers to give awareness, especially in bus stops that are crowded and strategic," he stated.

In the meantime, PT Transjakarta Director, Budi Kaliwono added metal detector has been prepared. It will be applied next week.

"It will run next week at some places. We have 238 units and 1,500 units of CCTV. This is very effective to monitor," he uttered.

Especially for CCTV, it will be connected to a control room of PT Transjakarta center office in Cawang area. There are 300 employees who conduct control and supervision.
