Waste Banks in Cipete Utara Effectively Reduce Waste Volume

Waste banks in Cipete Utara Urban Village, Kebayoran Baru, South Jakarta, have been reducing waste volume up to two tons per day. Around 200 residents become customers of waste banks on Jl. Saraswati RW 07 and Jl. Haji Naim RW 03.

"Its customer has reached 200 people. Today, our trash volume reduced up to 2 tons," said Muhammad Yohan, Head of Cipete Utara Urban Village, Monday (5/29).

According to him, waste can be collected up to 20 tons per day in his urban village. With citizen care, waste volume that will be delivered to Bantar Gebang Integrated Waste Management Place (TPST) could be reduced.

Private Party will Be Involved to Make Waste Bank

"To reduce 10 percent of waste, this is considered good. We will socialize more to the residents thus the customer numbers will be increased," he expressed.

Meanwhile, one of the waste bank customers, resident of RW 07 named Saraswati Neneng (37) said, already deposited 100 kilograms of her waste.

"I even asked bajaj to transport the waste that I want to deposit," she closed.
