"Through CSR, why not, the rules will be made, to encourage them (private parties) to provide waste banks," he expressed, Tuesday (5/23).

He assessed the number of the current waste banks is far from ideal. That is why there should be counseling and socialization.

"The need to have a waste bank must be responded by urban village heads, sub-district heads and RW caretakers as a necessity. This is a part of educating people in waste management," he explained.

On the other hand, Jakarta Environment Dept. Head, Isnawa Adji stated, every RW must have waste bank.

"Jakarta has 2,700 RWs now, we want them to have waste bank," he explained.

Currently Jakarta already has 424 waste banks. Those are able to reduce 239.2 tons of waste in one month.

"The role of residents is very important to minimize waste problem in Jakarta," he said.
