13 AKAP Buses Undergo Ramp Check at Kampung Rambutan Terminal

All public transport vehicles must undergo the test for the sake of the safety during homecoming season

13 AKAP buses in Kampung Rambutan Terminal, East Jakarta underwent a ramp check on Monday (5/29) in order to give safety for residents who will take homecoming using public transport vehicles.

"It will be held until June 9, 2017. All public transport vehicles must undergo the test for the sake of the safety during homecoming season," expressed Emiral August Dwinanto, Head of Kampung Rambutan AKAP Terminal Bus, Monday (5/29).

112 AKAP Buses Undergo Ramp Check

Dwinanto disclosed those buses were checked by the officers of Pulogadung Motor Vehicle Testing (PKB), terminal administrators, Transportation Ministry and Bekasi Transportation High School (STTD), West Java.

Until 1 PM, there had been 13 AKAP buses checked. As result, only one of them passed the test.

"It is mostly because of broken windshield, vehicle body putty stand out, broken handbrake, retreaded tires and so forth," he stated.

To operate the bus, he stressed, those who failed the test should be fixed first. As for a bus plying Kampung Rambutan-Merak had to be grounded because of incomplete vehicle documents.

As for the information, it will be held until June 9. And will be continued by setting up Integrated Post on June 15, 2017 until D+10 Eid ul-Fitr.
