Jakarta Legislative Council (DPRD) Commission B is supporting Jakarta Transportation Dept.'s plan to crack down illegal terminal in Jakarta.

"We're supporting them to control illegal terminals in five cities. Thus residents could take homecoming safely," said Syarifuddin, a member of Jakarta DPRD Commission B, Monday (5/29).

According to Syarifuddin, all this time, illegal terminal often leads to traffic jam and detrimental to the road user.

"Additionally, most fleets from illegal terminal are unroadworthy. That's why we must control them," he expressed.

While Sereida Tambunan, a member of Jakarta DPRD Commission B asserted, illegal terminal raid will be set consistently by giving strict sanctions in accordance with the applicable rules.

"We also want supporting facilities at the main terminal and the additional terminal to be prepared well. Thus people won't take homecoming from illegal terminal anymore," he closed.
