South Jakarta Water Resources Sub-dept. began to dredge the Aselih embung (artificial lake), Jalan Aselih, Cipedak, Jagakarsa. To optimize it, the amphibious excavator will be sent to dredge it up to four meters depth.

If all goes well, it is targeted to be completed within 2-2.5 months

South Jakarta Water Resources Sub-dept. Maintenance Section Head, Firmansyah said, from total area of 8,600 square meters, only 5,000 square meters will be transformed into artificial lake.

"Dredging will be made up to 3-4 meters. We let it natural, there will be no concrete on the left and the right side. There will be a water absorption also later," he expressed, Tuesday (5/30).  

According to him, the rest land will be greened around the artificial lake. Additionally, its location is also connected with water channel in the surrounding areas, including Krukut River.

"If all goes well, it is targeted to be completed within 2-2.5 months," he closed.
