Food Products Control Held in Six Traditional Markets of E. Jakarta

Food products control was conducted by joint personnel in six traditional markets of East Jakarta, Friday (6/9). This was done to prevent the circulation of food contained hazardous substances.

Food Products control is done routinely to prevent circulation of food contains of dangerous chemicals

East Jakarta Agriculture Maritime and Food Tenacity (KPKP) Sub-dept. Head, Agung Priambodo said monitoring was conducted in Kramat Jati, Cibubur, Cijantung, Jambul, Makasar, and Ciracas Market.

63 samples from agriculture, fisheries, and living stock food products were taken from each market. All samples were examined immediately in four mobile laboratory cars prepared in Kramat Jati Market.

C. Jakarta KPKP Sub-dept. Conducted Food Control in Four Traditional Markets

"Food products control is done routinely to prevent circulation of food contains of dangerous chemicals. Today, we conducted sudden inspection in six traditional markets," he explained.

Besides KPKP Sub-dept., there are 75 joint personnel from Jakarta Health Sub-dept., Small Medium Enterprise Cooperation and Trade Sub-dept., Food and Drug Monitoring Agency, and other related departments.
