Don't Operate Unworthy Bus During Homecoming

Acting Jakarta Governor, Djarot Saiful Hidayat revealed, unworthy buses must not be operated during homecoming season. They could operate, as long as its condition was prime and complete.

"If the bus is unworthy, must be fixed first to operate. We give deadline until tomorrow. If not, they will be crossed out," he said, in Pulogadung Terminal, East Jakarta, Wednesday (6/14).

He explains, the passenger safety is highly depending on the goodness of the vehicle. The people need to check the bus stickers first before boarding the bus.

Buses Used as Eid Transportation will Be Under Supervision

"Every passenger must also be thorough. If you see the bus without sticker, just leave it," he stressed.

Currently, he added, around 710 buses have undergone ramp check through Jakarta Transportation Dept. and Transportation Ministry.

"40 percent of buses are unworthy. They must be fixed," he closed.
