After Eid ul-Fitr, Second Closure Trial For Railway Crossings Started

"This railway crossing is on a narrow road near a densely populated area. I think it must be closed down permanently," he stated, Wednesday (6/14).

Post-closure, he continued, people can pass through Sentiong area. It is because the distance between Jalan Kembang Pacar or locally known Pasar Gaplok with Sentiong is not too far away.

"You can see a street on both sides of the rails. The motorist can use it as alternative access, precisely from Kramat towards Tanah Tinggi or vice versa," he explained.

He added yesterday's collision accident between train and car is because of the buildup of vehicles, considering the street is quite narrow.

"The car is stuck in the middle of the rail, whereas coming train signal has been sounded," he told.

As known, the Walahar Express train hit a car B 9092 PCM at around 5.03 PM yesterday. It has killed one driver and one passenger of the car.

In the accident, the car bounced off about 30 meters and burnt. Even, the flames also spread to the train cars.
