Man Jumps from Semanggi Bridge

An unidentified man was found dying and lying on Jalan Sudirman, after he jumped from Semanggi Bridge, Jalan Gatot Subroto, Friday (6/13) afternoon. The victim suffered injuries on the head, feet and hands.

"The incident happened around 11.30 AM. The man jumps from the Semanggi Bridge and fell on Jalan Jenderal Sudirman towards HI Roundabout," expressed an security officer of Transjakarta bus , Wahyu, Friday (6/13).

Police officers around the scene immediately rushed to the victim. Blood seen flowing from the victim's head. Police then stopped a taxi to take the victim to the Cipto Mangunkusumo Hospital.

Chief of Tanah Abang Sector Police, AKBP Anom said victim was still alive when being found by officers. Then victim immediately rushed to the hospital. "The victim suffered severe injuries on the head, legs and arms," he told.

The victim's identity is still unknown. But, he revealed, he is about 38 years old with about 165 centimeters tall, fat, and short hair. "The man wore blue jeans pants, short-sleeved black shirt, and black sandals when he tried to jump. We just found a Blackberry cell phone on the pocket," he expressed.

The victim's motive is still unknown. "Allegedly, he deliberately jumps from the bridge to commit suicide," he finished.
