City Committed to Build Market in Seribu Islands

Jakarta Provincial Government committed to build market in Seribu Islands region. Currently, related institution is still surveying the location.

We are still committed to build market to maintain same prices between main island and islands

Jakarta Economy Bureau Head, Sri Haryati said, traditional market is needed to be built to prevent inequality of staple food prices between the main island and islands.

"We are still committed to build market to maintain same prices between main island and islands," she said, Sunday (6/18).

She added that recently City is still analyzing several alternative plans, before traditional market is built in Seribu Islands. One of it is to rent boat for mobile purpose from one island to another.

"We can use Sabuk Nusantara Boat in Kelapa Island to transport staple foods from main island to other islands. Because we must rent boat again if it is transported from island to island," she closed.
