Dengue Case in North Jakarta Decreasing

We continue to intensify socialization about the importance of PSN and the 3M-plus procedure

Along January-June 20, 2017, the dengue fever case in North Jakarta has touched 332 cases. The number is decreasing compared to the same period last year, which reached 1,882 cases.

North Jakarta Health Sub-dept. Head, Mohammad Helmi expressed, decrease in dengue case is an indicator of high public awareness to conduct anti-mosquito campaign (PSN) and keep the environment clean.

"We continue to intensify socialization about the importance of PSN and the 3M-plus procedure, or mengubur ( bury), menguras (drain) and menutup (cover) to the people," he expressed, Wednesday (6/21).

He continued, the other important thing is wiggler hunter (jumantik), which conducts surveillance at homes regularly.

"If it is needed, we'll use fogging method to eradicate aedes aegypti mosquito that causes dengue," he disclosed.
