Dengue fever (DBD) case number in Kebayoran Lama Sub-district, South Jakarta in this first quarter of 2017 is lower compared to the same period last year.

Data obtained from Kebayoran Lama Sub-district Puskesmas in January-March 2017 period, noted there are just 58 DBD cases. While in the same period last year, it reached 282 cases.
Kebayoran Lama Sub-district Puskesmas Head, Selvy Devita said, the reduction is caused by citizen awareness to keep their environment clean. Besides, mosquito breeding eradication (PSN) also being held twice per week. This become important factor to suppress DBD cases in her area.

"We conducted PSN in public cemetery, we found many mosquito larvae inside flower vase. Later on, we drill the vase and give it to cemetery management side," he added.
During the period, DBD cases are mostly happened in Grogol Selatan Urban Village with 17 cases, and then Kebayoran lama 13 cases, Cipulir and Kebayoran Lama Utara 9 cases, Grogol Utara and Pondok Pinang 5 cases.
