City Dishub Supports Air-Conditioned Public Minivan Policy

Jakarta Transportation Dept. (Dishub) supports Ministry of Transportation's policy that stated all city transportation in Indonesia are obliged to be equipped with air conditioning system starting in 2018.
Actually this program regulation has similar purpose as transportation minimal service standard
Jakarta Dishub Deputy Head, Sigit Wijatmoko said, his side has informed through circular letter to Land Transportation Organization (Organda) and vehicle businessmen to oblige the policy in accordance with Transportation Ministry Regulation (Permenhub) No.29/2015 as amendment of Permenhub No.98/2013 about Minimal Service Standard of Public Transportation and Motor Vehicle in Route.
"Actually this program regulation has similar purpose as transportation minimal service standard," he expressed, Wednesday (7/5).
10 Routes of KWK Integrated with TransjakartaIn order to apply this program, his side will emphasize Regional Regulation (Perda) No.5/2014 about Transportation which is stated public motor vehicle lifetime limited to 10 years.
"Public minivan can be equipped with air conditioner and conduct rejuvenation at once. Please immediately adjust to the term and condition applied in Permenhub," he said.
He asked public minivan to be rejuvenated as well as equipped with air conditioner in each public transportation according to Permenhub and Perda. If not, his side will revoke their transportation route permits.
