Kalibaru-Cilincing Embankment Construction Targeted to Finish in December

A National Capital Integrated Coastal Development (NCICD) construction in Kalibaru-Cilincing is targeted to finish in December 2017.

2018, Tidal Wave Embankment Project Budgeted

Ministry of Public Work and Public Housing (PUPR)'s Integrated Development Implementation of Capital Coastal (PTIN) Commitment Maker Official, Ferdinanto said, spun pile installation has reached 1.3 kilometers from the total length of embankment which is 2.2 kilometers.

"According to contract, it should be finished in April 2018. But, refer to President Regulation (Perpres) No. 58/2017 about Acceleration on National Strategy Project, this project will be accelerated to December," he said on Thursday (7/6).

He explained, technically there are several parts to construct embankment such as spun pile, capping beam, sandstone material, and breakwater in the piling.

Spun pile which is wrapped by capping beam has 2 meters wide and 6.6 meters tall from the lowest sea level.

Sandstone will be placed within elevation plus 4.5 meters and six meter wide place. While U-ditch will be installed between sandstone and capping beam as drainage channel as wide as 0.5 meters.

"For its refinement, we will propose the budget in 2018. So far, our work is on the schedule," he closed.
