Breakwater on East Side of Panggang Island Repaired

The breakwater on east side of Panggang Island, North Seribu Islands, Seribu Islands that slammed by waves last month began to be repaired.

"We repair the breakwater structures pyramidally and then tied with nylon to be more resistant to the wave," expressed Mustajab, Head of Seribu Islands Water Resources Sub-dept., Wednesday (7/12).

Before being repaired, he stated, breakwater on east side of Panggang Island is damaged up to 100 meters due to the blow of east wind waves.

"Next week we will evaluate the design to avoid similar case thus it can withstand high waves," he closed.
