Portal on North Side of KBT Closed Every Saturday-Sunday

The East Flood Canal Inspection Road's portal on the north side will be closed every Saturday and Sunday. It is aimed to give opportunities for residents to exercise in the location.

Portal closure is to banish the motorcycle and the PKL. We do this to give opportunity for residents to exercise

Duren Sawit Sub-district Satpol PP Taskforce Head, Andik Sukaryanto said, portal that will be closed is located at Malaka Sari Sluice Gate. It will be closed at 6-11 AM. Thus the motorcycle and street vendor (PKL) cannot enter to the location.

"Portal closure is to banish the motorcycle and the PKL. We do this to give opportunity for residents to exercise," he stated, Saturday (7/15). 

His side will also send five Satpol PP officers to guard near the portal to banish the motorcycle and the PKL.

Rohmat (36), a local people said, every Saturday and Sunday morning, he and other residents conduct exercise along the road while using a bike.

"If it is closed, we will do exercise comfortably. The place is shady, cool and comfortable," he stated.

On Monday-Friday, it will be reopened to parse traffic jam along Jalan Kolonel Sugiyono and Jalan RS Soekamto.
