Preventing Street Vendors, A Portal will Be Installed at TMII's Entrance Gate 1

Entrance access 1 of Taman Mini Indonesia Indah (TMII), Cipayung, East Jakarta, will be installed with a portal soon. It aims to dispel street vendors opening stall in the location.

All this time, the area has been used by street vendors, street coffee peddlers 'kopi pangku' and as a place for teenagers to hangout

Cipayung Sub-District Head, Iin Mutmainah stated that the portal will be installed right at the end of the entrance way, near TMII'S traffic light junction. At least there will be 4 portals installed.

"All this time, the area has been used by street vendors, street coffee peddlers 'kopi pangku' and as a place for teenagers to hangout," said Mutmainah, Monday (12/21).

TMII's Connecting Channel Cleaned

The portal is closed  starting at 11 PM-5 AM everyday. But if there is a certain event inside of TMII then the portal will be opened.

"If it's only wedding reception then the guest come in through gate 3 located near Ceger tunnel," she told.

She is optimistic with the portal there will be no more street vendors come into the area.

"Including teenagers who hangout using motorcycle. Because after that they used to hold illegal race," she disclosed.
