Jakarta Governor, Djarot Saiful Hidayat has determined the name of new fly over in Semanggi Interchange. The name is also mentioned to be putted in Governor Provision (Kepgub).
The name remains 'Simpang Susun Semanggi' (Semanggi Interchange)
"We have determined the result in meeting. The name remains 'Simpang Susun Semanggi' (Semanggi Interchange)," he said at City hall, Monday (7/17).
He added that name is suitable with the early concept of construction. Even there were many suggestions from various sides, this name will remain as it was.
August 17, Semanggi Interchange Inaugurated"This is similar to the early concept. Its name is remained and I also asked it to be made in Governor Provision," he added.
He expressed that recently Governor Provision regarding to Semanggi Interchange name has been processed and hopefully it could be issued before open traffic on July 29. For inauguration, it was planned to be done on August 17.
"Later on, Governor Provision becomes our basis for sending a letter for Mr. President in the opening," he stated.
He also informed, Semanggi Interchange is intended for four-wheeled vehicles and above it. Two-wheeled vehicles is forbidden to across due to safety.
"We had also asked Bina Marga Dept. and contractor to equip it with traffic signs, traffic lights, and street lighting," he closed.
