July, Open Traffic at Semanggi Interchange Trialled

The Semanggi Interchange project has entered box overpass installation or final stage on Tuesday (4/25) evening. In July 2017, open traffic trial at the location will be applied.

Jakarta Governor, Basuki T. Purnama disclosed he would make a request for President, Joko 'Jokowi' Widodo to inaugurate the Semanggi Interchange, which falls in the forthcoming August. 

"Last night, we did final installation. We hope Mr. Jokowi is also able to inaugurate the trial in July," he stated, at City Hall, Wednesday (4/26) evening.

Semanggi Intersection SGB Installation Reaches 87 Percent

On the other hand, Jakarta Bina Marga Dept. Head, Yusmada Faisal targeted traffic trial can already be applied on time. 

"We try to do it in July," he expressed.

Yusmada predicted, Semanggi Interchange is able to parse congestion up to 30-40 percent. Considering, in future, traffic flow will be divided and will be separated
