Parks Still Becoming Prostitution Area

City parks construction by Jakarta Provincial Government spent lot of money. But unfortunately, the parks that should functioned as recreation and interaction place, have to be misappropriated by some residents to be immoral area. Acting Jakarta Governor Basuki T. Purnama regretted this matter.

"We found some parks in the city turned as immoral place. It is okay for dating, but not for prostitution. it's insane," said Basuki, Sunday (6/15).

Basuki asked residents to guard and preserve parks in the city as prevention to unwanted things.

Meanwhile, Head Jakarta Dept. of City Park and Cemeteries, Nandar Sunandar, stated that routine monitoring is held to prevent immoral act in several parks.

 

"We keep monitoring the parks by involving undercovered personnel," he admitted.

 

He added that the undercovered personnel had secured six nasty couples in Cattleya Park, Tomang, West Jakarta.

"After securing the couples, we summon their parents. Four of them are planned to be married," he added.
