The Cempaka Putih Sub-district, Central Jakarta already has 29 waste banks this year. Those are able to reduce 28 cubic meters of garbage every day.
Currently, garbage volume disposed to Bantargebang Landfill every day is reaching 204 cubic meters
Cempaka Putih Sub-district Environment Executing Unit Head, Susdiarto expressed, the waste banks are spread in Cempaka Putih Urban Village, Cempaka Putith Barat Urban Village and Rawasari Urban Village.
"Currently, garbage volume disposed to Bantargebang Landfill every day is reaching 204 cubic meters," he stated, Friday (7/21).
Cipete Utara Adds More Waste BanksAccording to him, garbage handling in Cempaka Putih Sub-district is done by 84 freelancers and 11 civil servants.
"Every day we are able to pick up garbage on time using 22 trucks," he closed.
