Inspectorate Opens Discussion About BOS Management

Jakarta Inspectorate, Tuesday (7/25), held a panel discussion about management and accountability o school operational aid (BOS) and Education Operational Aid (BOP) in the Multipurpose Room on the 22nd floor, at City Hall.

According to Tri Widodo Ben Santoso, Sub-division Head of Financial for Jakarta Education Dept., the legal regulation of the use of funds for BOS is set in Gubernatorial Decree No. 366/2017 on Determination of Allocation, Magnitude and Use of Account Code on 2017 Public School Operational Cost.

"And junior high school students get aid Rp 1 million per year, and senior high school students get Rp 1.4 million per year," he told.
About aid distribution, he explained, is set in Education and Culture Ministry Regulation No. 8/2017 on Technical Guidelines for School Operational Assistance.
He explained, the remaining budget of BOS and BOP for state schools do not need to return to the service, as it will automatically be withdrawn by Bank DKI through school account.
"As for the private school, it's using the grant method, the remaining funds of BOS can be used in the next quarter," he closed.
