Flat Construction Budget Absorption Asked to Be Optimized

City Council Vice Chairman, Triwisaksana, asked Public Housing and Residential Area (PRKP) Dept. to optimize flat construction budget absorption.

Considering, flat construction budget absorption in City Budget 2016 accountability report (LPJ) was low.

"We want budget absorption for flat construction to be more optimized in the future," he expressed at City Council Building, Monday (7/31).

He also recommends Jakarta PRKP Dept. to change the consolidation auction mechanism into public auction. Thus flat construction could be absorbed according to target.

"I suggest it to be returned to common mechanism because it can guarantee the auction succession. Besides, small medium enterprises can also participate," he explained.

Jakarta PRKP Dept. Head, Agustino Darmawan admitted, auction failure and asset deletion matter are the main problems in budget absorption within his department which is just reached 64.21 percent from Rp 3.7 trillion in total City Budget 2016.

He explained, in construction implementation, there are unpredictable problems occur on the field. Such as asset deletion that takes 6 months to be solved.

"Later on, we will ask auction partners or participants to buy it directly if any asset needs to be deleted thus its process could be faster," he closed.
