Jakarta Provincial Government is accelerating public transportation infrastructure construction process. Citizens are expected to understand this matter since construction is causing traffic jam.

Thus I hope citizen could understand and tolerate it

"We accelerates Jakarta developments this year, especially in public transportation. Thus I hope citizen could understand and tolerate it," said Djarot Saiful Hidayat, Jakarta Governor, Wednesday (8/9).

He admitted, this development is done to follow up public transportation and infrastructure in Capital. Thus flyover, underpass, light rail transit (LRT), and mass rapid transit (MRT) constructions are done at once.

But, flyover and underpass are targeted to be finished by the end of this year thus can reduce traffic congestion.

Next year, he continued, MRT and LRT construction are targeted to be finished, included road and sidewalk repair.
