Green Alleys will Be Added by W. Jakarta Administration

West Jakarta Administration will add 15 green alleys this year. In 2016, 25 green alleys have been made and its benefit has directly felt by local residents.
Besides greening the densely populated environment, this program can also improve residents economy
West Jakarta Maritime Agriculture and Food Tenacity (KPKP) Sub-dept. Head, Maysawitri Gumay said, green alley is one of region administration's programs by inviting people in densely populated area to farm around house.
"Besides greening the densely populated environment, this program can also improve residents economy. By planting crops, at least residents can earn benefit by reducing expense in buying vegetable," she said, Monday (8/14).
KPKP Dept. Targeted 77 Locations for Green AlleyHer side also encourages them by giving seeds of vegetable, medicinal plants, and another productive plants together with its growing media and fertilizer.
"We also give hydroponic plant seeds thus it will be easier for its maintenance. The result can be harvested maximum in 40 days," she stated.
Currently, KPKP Sub-dept. is still surveying the proper location for 15 green alleys from several densely populated area points in West Jakarta.
