City to Improve SWRO in Untung Jawa Island

Jakarta Provincial Government will improve sea water reverse osmosis (SWRO) in Untung Jawa Island, Seribu Islands. This improvement is not only add its capacity but also the produced water quality.

We will improve and also test its water content

Jakarta Governor, Djarot Saiful Hidayat said, his side will involve Health Dept. and PD. PAM Jaya in improving SWRO for maximal result.

"We will improve and also test its water content together with Health Dept. and its connection will be done with PD. PAM," he said in summit meeting (rapim), Monday (8/21).

According to him, the installation built by Public Work and Public Housing (Kemen PUPR) is not handed over yet to Jakarta Provincial Government. Recently, just its operational that has been handed over to PD. PAM.

"It is not yet City asset. After being checked, then news event (BAST) can be made. Recent asset is still in Kemen PUPR," he added.

PD. PAM Jaya President Director, Erlan Hidayat added, SWRO installation in Untung Jawa Island has good quality material. Placement for device location needs to be reviewed and refined.

"Water quality and sources will be improved. It is okay for some investments," he closed.
