Djarot Targets 44 Sub-districts to Have Extraordinary Schools

Jakarta Governor, Djarot Saiful Hidayat targets 44 Sub-districts in Jakarta to have extraordinary school (SLB). Thus he asks Education Dept (Disdik) to budget it in City Budget 2018.

Schools that have students in small numbers can be put together in nearest school. Then its building can be used for SLB

"Currently we just have 8 state SLBs. It is still not enough. We will add in every sub-districts, thus there are 44 that can be proposed in 2018," he said, Tuesday (8/22).

He explained, it does not need to build new building to establish SLB. According to him, Disdik can register schools that have minim students to be liquidated.

"Schools that have students in small numbers can be put together in nearest school. Then its building can be used for SLB," he expressed.

Besides SLB, Djarot also plans to prepare bus for extraordinary students. First, he plans to rent several units of Transcare from Transjakarta.

"I also ask Mr. Sopan (Disdik Head) to record all students with underprivileged economic level. They must to be ensured to have KJP," he closed.
