Vehicle Taxpayers Detection in Jakarta Intensified

Integration policy is applied to achieve the optimization of Motor Vehicle Tax receipts

Jakarta Taxation and Retribution Agency (BPRD) will integrate the Motor Vehicle Tax Information System (SIM-PKB) with Parking Management Management Information System (SIM-PP). It is aimed to detect the taxpayer.

Jakarta BPRD Head, Edi Sumantri expressed, to realize it, his party is only connecting optical fiber to SIM-PP.

New BBNKB Tax Could Suppress New Vehicles

"Integration policy is applied to achieve the optimization of Motor Vehicle Tax receipts," he stated, Tuesday (8/22).

He explained its implementation allows managers to park in shopping centers and other areas to refuse vehicles whose taxes are in arrears. He added, before being applied, the integration of SIM-PKB with SIM-PP must have legal basis, at least in the form of governor's regulation.

"We have submitted the official memo, just waiting for further discussion. Including, a hearing meeting with the legislative," he expressed.

In the meantime, Jakarta BPRD also noted there are still 1,700 luxury category vehicles that have tax arrears. The potential for luxury vehicle tax revenue is Rp 400 billion.

The luxury vehicle, he continued, has an average value of Motor Vehicle Sales (NJKB) more than Rp 1 billion. "We will do the jemput bola services by visiting the homes of the luxury car owner," he stressed.

He explained, for today, there are seven luxury vehicle owners who have completed their tax obligations.

"We still provide incentives in the form of elimination of fine sanction of Motor Vehicle Tax until August 31," he said.
