Staple Foods Price in West Jakarta Is Stable

The retail price of some staple foods in traditional markets in West Jakarta during the second week of August 2017 is stable. Even, the price of rice has decreased.

In general, the development of retail prices during the second week of August in traditional markets has decrlined compared to the previous week

Assistant for West Jakarta Economic and Development, Fredy Setiawan said declining food commodity prices is due to insufficient stock and smooth supply.

Chili Price Considered Stable

"In general, the development of retail prices during the second week of August in traditional markets has decrlined compared to the previous week," he expressed, Monday (8/28).

According to him, four out of five rice commodities type IR I-III, Muncul I, IR 42 during the second week of August this year is declining between Rp 50,000-Rp 200,000 per kg. As for Setra rice at traditional market, increased about Rp 143,000 per kg.

"And other staple foods which have declined are red curly pepper, red and green chilies, red and white onions," he uttered.

Then for price of pure beef and quads, he added, is stable. "The price of fish in the market has declined, as the stock in traders is adequate," he closed.
