Jakarta KPKP Dept. Head, Darjamuni said, not only its physical condition, but his side is also taking its blood sample to examine it. Its purpose is to ensure sacrificial animals are infected by virus or not.
6,319 Sacrificial Animals Examined by C. Jakarta KPKP Sub-department"We are taking the blood samples to examine any anthrax or other viruses. But until now, anthrax virus was not found," he said on Friday (9/1).
He explained his side has conducted early prevention towards sacrificial animal which came to Jakarta. All sacrificial animals must have healthy letters from its origin areas.
"Then we also examine its health on the shelter and give stickers to distinguish qualified and non-qualified animals," he expressed.
According to him, sacrificial animal examination is ensured to be conducted routinely until D+3 of Eid al-Adha. Moreover, 817 personnel are also deployed to monitor sacrificial animal slaughter on Saturday (9/2).
"Tomorrow, our personnel are also deployed to examine slaughtered animals' meat," he closed.
