DPRKP is Ready to Set Rental Rates for Middle Class Flat

Jakarta Public Housing and Residential Area Dept. (DPRKP) affirmed its readiness to set rental rates for middle class flat through local regulation (perda) as City Council suggestions.

"We are ready to form perda and propose it. We also have found the calculation for flat rental rates," said Agustino Darmawan, Jakarta PRKP Dept. at City Council Building, Tuesday (9/5).

He explained, his side should be reviewing middle class flat basic rate with Jakarta Legal Bureau. Then, its review will be used as material in Public Hearing Meeting together with City Council.

Special Policy Made For Flat Low-Income Residents

"If the format is approved, its articles will be discussed further as regulation draft (raperda). After it is done, it is ready to be regulated," he said.

Separately, City Council Commission C Vice Chairman, James Arifin Sianipar said, raperda which regulates about middle class flat basic rate is important to be established.

"Thus the tariff has a strong legal basis," he closed.
