Commission B-Dishub Discussed About Prohibited Lane Extension Plan for Motorcycle

City Council Commission B with Transportation Dept. (Dishub) held meeting to discuss extension policy regarding prohibited lane for motorcycle that will be trialed soon.

Thus we want to know the exact plan for this prohibition. Whether it has been socialized or not

City Council Commission B Chairman, Yusriah Dzinnun said, this meeting was held to follow up public response towards motorcycle prohibition policy that will be extended, from Bundaran HI-Jalan Medan Merdeka into Bundaran HI-Bundaran Senayan.

"Thus we want to know the exact plan for this prohibition. Whether it has been socialized or not," she said at City Council Building, Tuesday (9/5).

DPRD Chairman Wants to Delay Extension of Lane Ban for Motorcycle

At the same place, Jakarta Transportation Dept. (Dishub) Head, Andri Yansyah explained, lane extension for motorcycle prohibition is the continuation from previous policy that applied in Bundaran HI-Jalan Merdeka Barat.

"We are just continuing it. We also have socialized it through mass media and collaborated with TMC Polda Metro Jaya," he explained.

He also ensured, this applied policy is in accordance with Law (UU) No.22/2009 about Traffic and Transport.

"Even in Perda No. 5/2004 about Transportation is also mentioned that government is very possible to make restriction," he closed.
