PT. Jakpro Asked to Make Analysis Regarding LRT Route Extension

City Council Commission C asks PT. Jakarta Propertindo (Jakpro) to make analysis regarding the potential of Light Rail Transit (LRT) Phase 1 (Kelapa Gading-Velodrome) route extension after Asian Games 2018 event.

City Council Commission C Vice Chairman, James Arifin Sianipar said dividends acquisition on LRT construction should be a long term plan projected by Jakpro.

"We support Kelapa Gading-Velodrome LRT as Asian Games 2018 facility. But we must also think about its next development," he said, Thursday (8/7).

City Soon to Discuss Impact on Kuningan LRT Project

According to him, LRT route extension analysis is needed to add more advantages from this rail-based mass transportation project.

He believes by extending the route, LRT will be more effective and beneficial for communities. This is also can ease government in calculating the amount of ticket subsidies that will be given to PT. Jakpro.

"This project is still need cash injection from Government Equity Participation (PMP). Its subsidy and investment return must be considered also," he closed.
