Elderly Residents in Flat must Be Placed on Ground Floor

Jakarta DPRD is instructing Jakarta Public Housing and Settlement Dept. to accommodate the elderly residents in the flat tower occupants on the ground floor.

We indeed have made a proposal to prioritize elderly residents to be placed on the ground floor thus they no need to go up and down the stairs

It is important to make it easier them to conduct any activities in the tower area, especially new towers that have not been equipped with elevator such as Block D of Marunda Flat Tower, Cilincing, North Jakarta.

"We indeed have made a proposal to prioritize elderly residents to be placed on the ground floor thus they no need to go up and down the stairs," he expressed, at Block D of Marunda Flat. Thursday (9/7).

250 Elderly People Undergo Dementia Medical Check-up

According to him, based on the review results at Marunda Flat Tower, the elderly residents have been placed on the ground floor.

"The tower is made to prosper its residents to live more worthy. This is important thing that we make," he stressed.

Meanwhile, Suhardi (57), one of tower residents at Block D admitted, he was grateful to stay on the ground floor. It is because diabetes that he suffered has made him difficult to go up and down the stairs.

"I am grateful that the tower management has made it easier for me to stay on the first floor of Block D," he admitted.
