Micro Drainage Channel Cleaning in C. Jakarta Should Be Improved

Regional heads in Central Jakarta area are asked to improve their monitoring and cleaning related to micro drainage channel in settlement area. Thus when the rainy season comes, channel is capable to collect more water.

"I ask urban village and sub-district heads to keep monitoring and cleaning micro channel from trash and mud sedimentation," said Mangara Pardede, Mayor of Central Jakarta, Wednesday (9/13).
He added, his side is always coordinating river cleaning with related institutions. Thus there is no trash pilling, like at Cideng River couple of days ago.
Channel on Jalan Cempaka Putih Timur XII DredgedRelated to this matter, Gambir Urban Village Head, Fauzi affirmed his readiness in facing rainy season. His side also has monitored inundation spots and mobile pump.
"There are two inundation spots; on Jl. Tanah Abang IV and Jl. Ralin. Four mobile pumps are also prepared," he closed.
