The ranks of Central Jakarta Water Resources Sub-dept. are cleaning a water channel alongside Jalan Cempata Putih Timir XII. They are also repairing the sheet pile in the location.
The mud is dense, so we do cleaning and dredging in the channel
Cempaka Putih Water Resources Executing Unit Head, Subandi said, the channel has 91 meters length with 60x100 centimeters width. In the channel, mud is reaching 40 centimeters height.

He added it is done to increase channel capacity during rainy season. It is because the water often overflows and inundates the road when it rains.
"Here, we also repair the sheet pile. Before that, we will do data collection first," he finished.
