Council Supports Executives to Close Drug-Related Discotheque

City Council Commission B supports Jakarta Provincial Government in closing discotheque that related to drugs.

Even I suggest to close and revoke immediately its business permits once it was found out

City Council Commission B Member, Subandi said, it has been mentioned in regional regulation (Perda) No. 6/2015 about Tourism that nightspots which have been involved twice in drug cases will be closed and revoked.

Commission B Evaluates LED Lamps Usage

"Even I suggest to close and revoke immediately its business permits once it was found out," he said, Friday (9/15).

According to him, drugs can not be tolerated in Jakarta. Thus he asked related SKPDs to be responsive and strict to discotheque which violate the rules.

"Such discotheques are destroying our generation," he expressed.

Similar response also has been said by another Commission B Member, Judistira Hermawan. According to him, discotheque that get caught in drugs cases in Taman Sari, West Jakarta, should be sanctioned by closing it.

"I know this place has been caught in drugs twice. First in May 2017 and then this September. According to Perda, when it has been caught twice, it must be closed down," he stated.
