Water Debit at Lembang Lake will Be Added

Central Jakarta Administration plans to add water debit at Lembang Lake, Menteng. It is because water in the lake began to shrink due to low rainfall intensity.

Currently we are still in the discussion of any reservoirs that will be taken water, as it involves many parties

"Based on the last monitoring reports, water continues to thin in dry season. So there will likely be additions," expressed Mangara Pardede, Mayor of Central Jakarta, Tuesday (9/19).

Pardede stated, along with some UKPDs, his party is currently looking for a usable water source.

"There is water management in Abdul Muis, can take there if the water is still lacking. Taking water can mobilize fire trucks, but we just await the water conditions first," he uttered.

Meanwhile, Central Jakarta Water Resources Sub-dept. Head, Dicky Suherlan said has added water debit of the lake that has 8,500 square meters width.

"The lake is already filled with water, the remaining water required is currently 8,500 cubic. Currently we are still in the discussion of any reservoirs that will be taken water, as it involves many parties," he finished.
