The issue of electronic identity cards (e-KTP) have not fully resolved by the Ministry of Home Affairs (Kemendagri). The ministry is expected to accelerate the issuance of e-KTP considering many Jakarta residents who do not have the ID card. In fact, the data recording has been done since a few years ago.

There are already ones who recorded since 2011 and they have not gotten (e-KTP), there are also who made in three months and still have not gotten it as well. Hopefully, the electronic ID card is printed so that people no longer wait too long

Therefore, Suprianto hoped that the e-KTP issuance from Kemendagri can be quickly completed. Moreover, some residents have already recorded e-KTP since long ago.

Currently to facilitate the population administrative proceedings, Head of East Jakarta Population and Civil Registration Department (Dukcapil) also held a proactive service in Rawa Bunga Urban Village. The services which are open from 07.30 AM responded enthusiastically by local residents. Until noon, 16 e-KTP, 2 regular KTP, and 1 birth certificate have been served completely.

"This service is very helpful. Besides it’s free, it is also easy, fast, and not complicated, "said Ramlan (45), a local resident.

Meanwhile, Head of East Jakarta Dukcapil, Abdul Haris, said that this proactive program is intended to facilitate the public to manage the legal documents.

"The goal is to facilitate the public, especially residents who want to extend KTP and birth certificates and other documents. It is also for the orderly of population administration," Haris said.
