1,551 Vehicles in East Jakarta Netted During Orderly Sidewalk

Since August-until now, East Jakarta Transportation Sub-dept. has noted that 1,551 two and four-wheeled vehicles have been netted from 10 sub-districts through orderly sidewalk.

The number will continue to increase in line with the extension of orderly sidewalk program

"The number will continue to increase in line with the extension of orderly sidewalk program," expressed Slamet Dahlan, Section Head of Operation Control for East Jakarta Transportation Sub-dept., Saturday (9/23).

Council Supports Extension of Orderly Sidewalk in Jakarta

He details, from 1,551 vehicles are controlled. 180 out of them are towed, 216 cars and 624 motorcycles are flattened, 370 vehicles are made in a dossier (BAP), 104 vehicles are ticketed and 57 other vehicles are grounded.

"There are still found vehicles break the rules of the sidewalk in the field. This is because many stores have no a parking lot and most sidewalks and roadsides are used as illegal parking," he closed.
