Djarot Inaugurates Bedah Rumah Program in Cilincing

Jakarta Governor, Djarot Saiful Hidayat symbolically gives 67 keys of renovated house in seven RWs, Cilincing Urban Village, Cilincing, North Jakarta, Thursday (9/28).

Djarot said, Cilincing becomes pilot project of Bedah Rumah (house renovation) program. This program upholds mutual cooperation principle. Besides CSR, this program is also fully supported by PPSU personnel and local residents.

"Government can not work alone. It needs support from people and private sides," he expressed.

Bedah Rumah Program in Seribu Islands Started

Bedah Rumah program is started since April 17 and inaugurated today. This schedule is earlier than the target to finish in December.

Meanwhile, North Jakarta Mayor, Husein Murad added, 67 renovated houses is located in seven of ten RWs in Cilincing Urban Village. Besides bedah rumah program, there are also environment arrangement, road and water channel repair in the area.

"I hope house owner can take a good care of this renovated house," he expressed.

One of the renovated house owners, Syamsudin (57) feels grateful. Because he lived in inappropriate house for more than 20 years. When rain falls, ceiling leaked and water flowed from water channel.

"I really thanked Jakarta Provincial Government, CSR, and local residents who support Bedah Rumah program. It is like a dream that my house can be renovated too," he closed.
