Batik Painting Competition will Be Held at Textile Museum

Competition to paint batik on Selendang (shawl) Betawi called Cukin will be held at Textile Museum, Jl. Aipda KS. Tubun, West Jakarta, on October 2, 2017.

I want students appreciation towards batik could be increased

Jakarta Tourism and Culture Dept. (Disparbud)'s Art Museum Administration Unit for Education and Information Head, Misari said, this competition will be participated by 50 students of fashion major from nine SMK in Jakarta.

"By theme Pesona Jakarta, this competition will be held 8 AM until done," she informed, Friday (9/29).

Batik Lenggang Jakarta Book Launched

She explained, first winner will get training fund price Rp 3.5 billion, second winner will get Rp 3 billion, and third winner will get  2.5 billion. While for first runner up will get Rp 2,250,000 and second runner up will get Rp 2 billion.

"All winner will receive trophies," she expressed.

She hopes, this competition could make students become more interested in Batik and gives inspiration for their futures.

"I want students appreciation towards batik could be increased," she closed.
