Perusahaan Air Minum (PAM) Jaya conducts feasibility studies on two new water treatment plants construction which located in Pesanggrahan and Pejaten, South Jakarta. This construction is planned to start in 2018.
If all can be done according to plan, both of the plants could be operated in 2019
PAM Jaya Director, Barce Simarmata said, it takes three months for feasible studies. While for construction could take up to one year.
"If all can be done according to plan, both of the plants could be operated in 2019. But we also need water use permission from Public Works and Public Housing Ministry," he said, Tuesday (10/3).
Tidung Island's IPAL is Targeted to Finish in DecemberHe explained, source for water treatment plant in Pesanggrahan will be taken from Pesanggrahan River with capacity 750 liters per second. While the one in Pejaten will be sourced from Ciliwung River with capacity 500 liters per second.
"We hope Penjaringan City forest water treatment plant could be operated by the end of next year. For now, it is still on construction progress," he closed.
