W. Jakarta Installed 32,048 LED Lamps in Five Sub-districts

32,048 Light Emitting Diode Smart System (LED SS) streetlights were installed by West Jakarta Industry and Energy Sub-dept in several locations of Cengkareng, Kebon Jeruk, Grogol Petamburan, Kalideres, and Kembangan Sub-districts.

West Jakarta Industry and Energy Sub-dept. Head, Ery Ghazali said, installation is targeted to be done by the end of this year.

"Available LED SS lamps will be installed in five of eight sub-district areas," he said, Wednesday (10/4).

3,361 LED Lamps Installed in Penjaringan

Based on data on the field, he said there are 50,148 spots needed for street lightning in eight sub-districts in West Jakarta.

"But, since 2016 there were only 2,639 spots have been installed with lamp and we got 32,048 lamps for this year," he explained.

He added, his side has proposed 15,461 LED lamps procurement in budget 2018 for lightning needs in other three sub-districts which are Taman Sari, Palmerah, and Tambora.

"We are targeting MHT road, environment road, connecting road, and major arterial road in West Jakarta to be brightened next year," he expressed.

West Jakarta Industry and Energy Sub-dept.'s Wasdal Section Head, Joko Laksono added, MHT road or alleys will be installed with 40 watt lamps, while 90 watt lamps will be installed on environment road.

120 watt lamps will be installed on connecting road and 200 watt lamps on major arterial road.

"Lamp installation is done at noon and night. At least we could install 200 LED lamps to replace old HPS lamps," he closed.
