28,001 PJU Lamps Replaced With LED

Jakarta Industry and Energy Dept. (DPE) has replaced 28,001 streetlight (PJU) lamps with Light Emitting Diode (LED) in five Jakarta regions from January to August 2017.

Jakarta DPEs's City Lighting Section Head, Syamsul Bakhri said, LED installation this year is targeted 94,468 units. Until now, his side is trying to reach that target by replacing lamps for almost every day.

"Half of PJU lamps in Central Jakarta, South Jakarta, and North Jakarta have been replaced with LED in 2016," he said.
This year's budget allocation for LED installation on PJU reaches Rp 834 billion. It is targeted all 94,468 LED units can be installed until December.
