Wastewater Piping Manhole on Jalan Casablanca Cleaned

PD PAL Jaya is cleaning up five manholes of wastewater piping network along Jalan Casablanca, Menteng Dalam, South Jakarta.

PD PAL Jaya President Director, Subekti expressed the officers in the field have been reminded to comply with standard operating procedure (SOP), as well as implement safety and health (K3).

"They have to hold on K3. This is because this cleaning action has a high risk," he stated, Friday (10/6).

According to him, the people also need to be more concerned where they do not thrown garbage carelessly thus it triggers a blockage in the wastewater piping network.

In the meantime, Assistant Manager for Operation and Network Maintenance for PD PAL Jaya, Budi added his side has sent one team with eight officers to conduct cleaning.

"The distance between manhole is about 500 meters with 6 meters deep," he told.

He added it is conducted routinely as a form of monitoring thus the wastewater can flow smoothly to the place of processing.

"Generally most waste that we find is bottles, plastics, tissues and underwear. We can pick up five bags of solid waste here," he closed.
