Tens of Pumps in C. Jakarta Are in Prime Condition

Central Jakarta Administration assured, all pumps in his region are ready for the rainy season. Even, the regional heads are also directed to inventory flood-prone areas in Central Jakarta.

In the meantime, Central Jakarta Water Resources Sub-dept. Head, Dicky Suherman said his sub-dept. has optimized micro and connecting channels. Even the damaged pumps also have been repaired.

"Stationer pumps have been repaired and are ready to operate. We will also coordinate with mayor and regional heads to control buildings stood atop the channel in order to smoothen the flow of water," he stated.

In Central Jakarta itself, he added, the total number of stationer pumps is around 53 units. While mobile pump that serves to overcome inundation is around 18 units.
