Every Day, 60 Personnel Deployed to Clean Trash in Tanah Abang

Dozens of personnel are deployed to clean trash in Tanah Abang Sub-district, Central Jakarta every day. Hundreds cubic meter of trash is transported to Bantar Gebang Integrated Waste Management Site (TPST), Bekasi.

At 7 AM, all trash have been handled

Tanah Abang Sub-district Environment Unit Head, Zulkarnaini said every day 60 personnel are deployed to clean the area from trash. Personnel are transporting the trash since dawn to morning.

"At 7 AM, all trash have been handled. Six trucks and five heavy equipments are deployed to transport the trash," he informed, Tuesday (10/10).

OTT Operation will Be More Intensified in Jakarta

According to him, there are five temporary landfills (LPS) in Tanah Abang. Two spots are located in Palmerah Market, one in Kebon Melati, one at RW 07 Bendungan Hilir Urban Village, and one in Tanah Abang Market.

"In average, total transported waste is around 738 cubic meters and taken to Bantar Gebang, Bekasi," he closed.
